parts list for timing chain guides?

I have been slowly putting together the parts to replace the timing chain guides when I pull the VANOS to get them rebuilt. I saw the suggestion for the oil separator, and bought the parts, but I was wondering if someone made a complete list. I have been clicking on multiple threads but I'm always open for more advice.

The timing chain guide champion has posted his list several times. I would look around for his threads or PM him directly. If you do not know who the timing chain guide champion is...you have not done enough research.

Here is my thread and list of parts:
    https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh.../topics/917747

Could I be missing some? Yes. A lot of it is “optional” or “while you are there” and I didn’t do all of those.

This list is much more readable with the Default style, looks terrible on the Mobile style^^

This list has been done boatloads of assloads of shi7loads of times. If you can't come up with 3-4 versions in 10 minutes then your google-fu is weak.

Personally I think an "annotated" version with a column for comments like siennamilleyr sorta has done there for his own job (w/ the *'s) would be great. His list has some stuff, but for instance, if you haven't done valley pan that's an obvious one to knock off while you're there...

There's a bunch of stuff that deserves caveats. IF it was written up properly it'd consider that all owners dont' have same needs/perspectives/engine-requirements...

Like bunch of stuff is really "optional only if your car is really abused and/or you want to go overboard" examples:
    - check valves (pulling and cleaning them and redoing the seals probably is adequate for most people whose motors aren't real gunked up)
    - distribution block gaskets (may not be necessary to disassemble at all if no leaks - I didn't pull them at all... many do not with zero problems...)
    - chains (may not be necessary at all on all but the highest miles motors, the chains are super robust and tend to show very little wear on decent engines...)
    - camshaft sealing rings (may be necessary for very early motors but not later ones)

    - - - Updated - - -

I should add "etc." cuz that's all just "top of the head" hsit.
