So 6 months ago I get a yellow cel and 'needed' to replace 2 O2 sensors. Drove car about two weeks after repair and parked it till yesterday. Starts right up, with a yellow cel. Go to same shop, states nothing wrong with the sensor, the BMW software had too narrow of a parameter and was showing good O2 sensors as bad. It was updated 3 times, so I'm told, these past 5 months.
I'm only out the deductible, but if you get a yellow CEL and you have a code reader telling you that your O2 sensor is bad, don't believe it without the updated software. Probably alot of wasted money out there. Even with my light on those 2 times, it ran perfect. Common sense in the old days I would have diagnosed the part myself. Give me a analog car just with fuel injection for the high tech. Switches and knobs are fine by me.

Faults are just the beginning of the diagnostic path, just because there's a fault it does not mean that is the problem
