Looking at F32's - Common faults?

Former owner of an E30, E36 x2, E39M, and now the E83 is over 150,000 miles and starting to show her age....

I've been tire-kicking different brands and not really knowing what I want, until yesterday when I tested an F32 428i. It reminded me allot like my E36's, but faster and sportier. In fact, I think the performance numbers are about in-line with an E36 M3. I'm going to go drive a 435i and I'm betting on liking the pucker factor more than the 428i.

With that being said, these are both 2015 models nearing the end of their warranty life. I am curious of any pitfalls or common issues with the E32 that I should keep an eye out for.

    Thanks and kind regards.

    I'll answer my own question....

I've looked at 3 cars so far and every single one of them was alerting on the tire pressure system even though the tires looked well inflated. Either the sensors are bad, or the system needs to be reset. Either way, it was rather annoying as it would not let me work the radio or nav system until we fumbled around clearing the alert.

The TPMS on our 15 335xi is sketchy also and more of a PITA than it's worth.

Otherwise, we've enjoyed the car and hope to get the TPMS fixed under warranty

I test drove 2 F30's this week and both warned of low tire pressure and put the fear of God in me not to exceed 50 mph and take extreme caution whilst braking. The dealer claimed this is common when the ambient temperature gets colder and to ignore it. I agree that this is troubling and I don't want a car that gives annoying false warnings and information. What do others think?

The weather is cooling off, and the cars may have been sitting on the lot for awhile. Set the tire pressures properly, reset the system, and you'll never hear from it again unless there's a puncture.
