Hello,
I am new to the group, I have been wanting a BMW most of my life. Now that I am 40 years old it is time to treat myself with a nice 5 Series.
Can anyone please give me input on what years are the best I am looking for years between 2010-2014
Thank you Ryan
The "E60" BMW 5 series(2005-2010) are easily the worst models you can buy. The F10 (2011-2017) models aren't really all that old yet so time is developing their reliability, but so far they've proven to be great cars with casual maintenance. A friend of my cousin has owned a 2013 535i msport since it only had 2k miles. Now he has the car at 80k miles and hasn't really had to hurt his pockets to do it. Although the car was under warranty for 40k miles.

Hello and welcome to the forum Ryan! As the above user stated, looking at the F10 platform is probably the way to go. The most important thing that you can do is to get a thorough PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done by an independent BMW shop. This should give you all the info you'll need in deciding whether to pursue the car or not. Let us know if you have any other questions.

I am an enthusiast, so I like the lines on the e34, and especially the e39. classic lines, and my 540i/6 is best car I have had yet hands down.
