    Front license plate

As many of you know, I just bought my first Z4, a 2007 coupe. I am waiting for the license plates, but I just noticed that there is no front license plate holder. Here in Oregon, a front license plate is required. What to do?

I found a bracket/holder at Bavarian Autosports. How does it attach?
    Thanks,

I bought the factory black plastic contoured piece at the dealership. It requires 4 holes in the bumper cover. The dealership provided self-tapping screws. Yes, it looks bad, but in my state it's the law as well.

    I purchased this unit. https://skenebrackets.com/

A bit pricey, but its well engineered, plenty of adjustments and all the jewelry is included.

I found one (equally pricey) at gominigo that requires no holes whatsoever. It mounts on the connection for the towing hook.
    Thanks for the suggestions.

I installed the same plate holder. Guess I'm used to seeing it on most cars so I don't think it is the end all, however, it's also not a glamorous piece of plastic either. That said, I was indifferent about using it since my front bumper cover is so nicked up anyways... some day I'll replace and maybe by that point I'll be living in a single plate state.

I just now installed the bracket I bought from gominigo. The whole thing mounts in the screw hole used by the towing eye. Very nicely designed item.

Here in Germany a front plate is required. I brought my car here from Arizona so it had not previously had a plate on it. Bought one of the tow hook mount versions and after I few weeks noticed the plate was gone, thought some vandal had taken it. Got another single-point mount/new plates and two weeks later the plate was gone again. After thinking it over I went to the car wash and found both plates and part of the mangled mount. Was able to cobble together a stronger mount with the parts I had and re-enforced with Gorilla glue. Now when I go to the car wash I pop the plate off (very easy with the plastic European plate holders), remove two screws and then run through the wash. Adds 5 minutes to washing the car but I don't have holes in my bumper should I ever return to the US.

Interesting story. The people who made my single-point license plate holder warned that it should be removed before going
through a commercial car wash. Now I know why.
