That was the closest, most entertaining race all the way through I've seen in a long time.

I absolutely LOVE that Kimi got another win in red before moving down to Sauber! I really though by lap 30 that Ferrari had once again blown the strategy...
At this point I've *almost* given up on Vettel, although the guy can't seem to catch a break and the Ferrari likes to spin after seemingly minor contact. Regardless, he seems to keep shooting himself in the foot this year, forcing stuff that he doesn't need to.
I did like the comment by the announcers when they said Vettel had forgotten how to do hand-to-hand combat, and I think they may be right. Other than passing backmarkers after spinning, we haven't seen much from Vettel lately to indicate he's capable (or willing?) to throw down and battle with other drivers in a safe manner. He seems frantic to jump ahead before the end of lap 1 so he can stretch out his lead. Not a bad strategy when you're in one of the 2 quickest cars, but he's trying high risk passes and repeatedly coming out on the short end of the stick. Why not wait for a straight and use that glorious engine to safely pass under power, or under braking at the end of the straight? Low risk, high odds of success..
Congrats to Kimi. Guess the old fart has some juice left. Was expecting HAM to muscle past MAX but seems like he didnt want to risk it. With the thug overtaking BOT, championship would be decided in Mexico anyway. As far as the thug first lap incident...
FIA ordering teams to increase rear tyre pressures may have helped Ferrari. WCC is still up for grabs.
Merc also modified their rims due to potential Ferrari protest.

huge Kimi fan here....
hes still one of the best in the world.
I was watching on a spanish speaking channel, and w/ like 15 laps left ferrari told kimi he would be caught with around 3 laps to go, yet he actually opened lead up a bit over Max.
Always liked Vettel but this yr he has really shown cracks in his armour......not looking like an alltime best anymore
I was glad when Ricciardo's engine or electronics gave up. RB is giving you a crap car, is not going to let you test with Renault until March, have no incidence in the championship, there was no need to fight that hard for position in the first laps...
