Weird thing happening with my e39. When its below freezing and the cars cold, the footwell heat doesnt work. Nothing blows from the bottom. But when i turn it off and on when the cars warm it starts blowing from the bottom.
On the flip side when its warm outside and I start the car cold it blows heat from the footwell right away. Everything else works.
Side note - everything works, heat is hot and AC is cold. IHKA is tested and working and outside temperature sensor is working.
Anyone have this problem before or know what to check?
Measure the coolant temp using the cluster. I suspect that the IHKA waits until the engine is at a certain temp before allowing the blower to run. That's what I have observed, anyway.
Compare the coolant temp against the outside temp when the blower starts.
