Nice work! Is this the early or late style dash?
Looks like a late dash? Just a hair differrnt as far as I can tell. Is it real leather? Vinyl? Bonded leather?

Hi! Thank you. Its not real leather - its artificial leather. Real leather was very expensive. But as was said in repair shop they used good quality material, which is used in salons for cars.
This may be another option is you are good with upholstery work. If you can get it tight with adhesive all over the surface it should turn out pretty sweet. Plus, you get to keep $500 in your pocket for other goodies.
100% Genuine Italian Leather Dash Cover
They have it in almost any color stitching as well, to match whatever look you are going for.

I do upholstery for boats and have been looking for a dash local that I can redo over the winter. That looks very clean
just would'nt be a real e21 without a few small dash cracks! LoL
This looks really good btw, I like the stitched look.
This guy on ebay has Italian leather covers - I am unsure of fit and quality though.

I'm a little skeptical of leather dashes after the L6 got recalled over the leather shrinking and warping the dash. If BMW couldn't engineer it properly, I don't know if I would trust the aftermarket lol.
Shrinkage is due to excessive heat-Dask Boards do get hot a lot windshield cover/screen takes care of that-leather is also labor intensive-cleaning and treating with uv protect ect, yet the smell of leather in cars is unique, leather seats adds value to cars off the bat, full leather interior even more.
