New BMW owner - Rattle Question

Hi All,
New BMW owner and first time posting on this site.

I recently purchased a 2011 335I Convertible 6 speed manual with 58K miles. I'm noticing a rattling sound whenever I'm in first second or third gear between 2000 and 3000 RPM. I have searched around and the only rattle noise that comes up is the wastegate rattle, although I do not think that is what is happening with my situation. Any insight would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the forum! Does it seem like the rattle is coming from under the hood or where did you pinpoint it to? Does it effect the car's performance or anything?

Use a cardboard tube from a roll of paper towels to focus your heating. First determine if the noise is coming from the intake side or the exhaust side of the engine. Then focus in on a specific location.
