07/98 750iL - Double Temperature Switch - What does it feed?

    07/98 750iL

Issue: Interior dummy gauge is not reading. Cluster test makes it "move". The heads up will display the temperature with cluster cracked.

Yesterday, I replaced the temp sensor in the top of the intake. No change. I'd thought there was only that sensor
and one on the thermostat. There is a 3rd on the radiator itself.

My question is, which one feeds the dummy gauge?

    It's # 6 in the diagram.

Cluster test makes it move all the way to the end? Have a spare cluster you can program and test? I had one that someone failed a pixel repair that would even go up a qtr of the way and cluster would almost make it to the end but not fully. Had to have the motor replaced in it and its back to normal now...

Timm mentioned in a post of yours I just found that it came from the T-stat itself on the V8. Id assume the V12 would be the same, but trying to verify before getting into replacing that. I have a spare from a previous 750 I had, luckily should it be that one.
