help with tire sizing trying to compare.

Hey guys hope everyone is doing well. Trying to figure out tire size on what to order without rubbing. wheel specs are 18x9.5 square set up with ET22. would a tire size of either 275/40 all around or would 265/35 be better off?

275/40 sounds like a rub for sure for the fronts. Do you really want that much width on a tire up front ? Makes for heavier steering.

This talk of outrageous tire sizes make me think if forcing your wife to wear 8 inch spike heels.

i do like the square set up and meaty looks all around. My buddy that own auto tuning house here in Orlando has 275/35 i believe all around, but he had to run a 10mm spacer. i just dont want to run a spacer thats all.

You need the spacer, or the rear 9 or 9.5” ET22 wheels will rub against the strut up front, unless you are running a skinny coil over, out back 275/35/18 could rub depending on the roundness or squareness of the particular tire you are running on the rear wheel fender lip. I have style 65’s on my 540, they do not rub. But up front, you definitely need a 10mm spacer.if you run 275/40/18’s you will have rubbage.

i see so no matter what a spacer. A least 10mm isnt so bad,

im not on coils but koni shocks and vogtland springs, they probably will still rub then.... even if i went with the 265/35 instead?
