I looked online and found brand new set of dual piston front caliper for 850s, and they come with the bracket. Did anyone ever tried to equip a 540i with that ? I cant find the blueprint of the bracket to compare..
Thank
Both cars use the same rotor size (324 x 30mm). Even if the calipers fit, and even if they use the same master cylinder volumes, the dual piston calipers are not going to make your car stop better, or have any better braking performance.
If you wanted to actually upgrade your brakes, because you use the car heavily on the race track, you'd do much better swapping to E39 M5 calipers , rotors, and pads. These rotors are 345 x 32 mm, so have much better braking torque and a much bigger heat sink.
You might need to change the master cylinder and rear brakes to have a matched set - I did not check this for you, so it may or may not be necessary.
