    AUC HVAC controls

Has anyone ever installed the euro version HVAC with the AUC in a US version 8er? My understanding is the wiring is already there -- it there more to it than installing the sensor at the radiator and the correct HVAC controller in the console?

I think later model US cars have the AUC as well. I certainly have the button.

How late? My ‘96 doesn’t have it. Just curious.

That is weird. I assumed it was standard on all post 92 cars.

AUC is automatic recirculation (no idea what the actual German acronym stands for). It’s supposed to switch automatically from open to recirculating based upon air quality.
