1980 BMW E21 - 320iS rebuilt and modified 3:91 LSD-
Rebuild of LSD includes:
2 new .083" thick dog ear drive plates
2 new clutch plates
Cleaned and brushed LSD case and internals.
Mods to the LSD include:
The 2 new .083" thick dog ear drive plates, as stock thickness is .076" or so
Addition of 2 extra .020" thick shims, one each side, to add extra internal pressure for high lockup breakaway. Current lockup breakaway torque of LSD is 55 to 58 ft-lbs. See video taken before removing diff from car of breakaway torque on my you tube channel DarylLane.

Rebuild of diff includes - all new seals, diff cover gasket, new front pinion gear bearing and crush sleeve and Red Line 75W90ns full synthetic gear oil. No LSD additive has been added as Red Line LSD additive helps make the clutch slip smoothly, once added you cannot take it out.
Diff test driven in car for 250 miles and runs quiet and smooth.

Also thinking of selling 5 speed and Recaro sport front seats.
5 speed is smooth and quiet has 256.000 miles on it but oil has been changed a couple of times.
Recaros need rebuilding - drivers seat needs new foam.
