Hey everyone,
Encountered a weird issue earlier. I hit a really big pothole on the road, and the parking brake light came on and stayed on. Nothing wrong with the car prior. I added fluid to the master cylinder because it was below max, but that did not help. Another weird detail is that the light flickers on bumpier sections of road and if I accelerate really hard, the light will briefly go away during the pull. Any idea what this may be? Loose electrical connection after the bump?
Thanks
Take of the parking brake boot and check your parking brake adjustment and also the switch which is in there someplace. Most likely it's the switch. Probably got jarred out of position slightly.

Yeah, this would not be fluid related. Parking brake operates mechanically and the light is directly tied to the switch. More than likely just need to adjust the switch.
I assume the brake itself is not dragging or slightly engaged?
The PO removed the parking brake switch from the hand brake. So in other words engaging the hand brake never triggered the light on the dashboard. From what I've read, the light is also fluid related if the reservoir is low. I'll try unplugging the cap and see if it is defective.
