Have a water pump code: Missing
I realize it’s time to replace my water pump.
I just dropped my belly pan to look and see how much is involved. This by far looks like one of the tougher jobs that I’ve ever taken on.
My question is. Does the radiator need to be removed to do this job. And, does the stabilizer bar need to be removed as well.
Anyone have advice with this job?!
To preserve your sanity, remove radiator and sway bar.
If its anything like my 2006 E90 i managed to get it done within 4 hours. I had to pull out the radiator fan to gain access to the top alumuinum bolt on the waterpump but other then that it wasnt too difficult, just take your time with some of the fittings. I got rather frustrated with the quick connect fittings. As for the stabilizer bar, i just removed the brackets and let it hang while i did the job then lined everything back up when i was done. Significantly easier if you have access to a lift.
