Newby to bimmerforum. Bought a 2013 528i with 40k on the clock. 1st bmw after my e series merc. Had a coolant leak from beginning. And sloshing sound. Dealer been good trying to get it fixed. They took it back to bmw as apparently there was a history with issue with previous owner. Bmw replaced thermostat. Still leaking with spots below coolant tank. They replaced tank. All seemed good. I didn’t keep checking other than after 1st long drive which showed leak. 1 month later coolant light came on level low and yep same spots below coolant tank. Dealer took it back to bmw who now say its probably head gasket. They will fix as good will. Is the car ruined? Am I going to have long term issues? If the gasket is gone what else should they be fixing? Should I pursue a refund on the car... which is really nice and i love it. Hope I can draw on the wisdom of the forum for advice. Thanks

Sorry meant to say no leak visible after first long drive
If they fix at good will you will be fine. No long term issues when the headgasket is replaced, they have fixed standards how to do and what to replace with such work in addition.

BMW is performing an expensive repair, for free, on a now 6 year old model you purchased used, ostensibly not even from a BMW dealer. You can thank your lucky stars for that!
The dealer will do a fine job, I'm sure. Unless you have overheated the engine all should be well.
