Where can one get a strut bar? I cant wait to start mine.

BTW, what is the approximate cost for a S62 drivetrain? I've been seeing some offers on Ebay and wonder if there is any other place to locate the engine and trans. Thanks!

The strut bar is from Strong Strut. I'm not sure if they are still selling them.
Engines start at $3500 and go up. If you go onto M5Board and search username "Clemster" he. is the man for parting out E39 M5's

Sorry, I've been procrastinating lately. It's pretty much ready to go. I had the headliner redone and it's sitting in the house to go back in as soon as I can get the car back in the garage.

Strong strut will only make the brace if they have 10 confirmed deposits because the item is so rare. I put a cheap steel one on and didn't notice much difference even at the track. Turn in is a little sharper. It is a beauty item and strong strut is the prettiest.

Love the rabbit truck. My dad had one he used around his Sunoco station back in the '80's. Was pretty zippy for its day with the 1.6 or 1.8 it had at the time. Yours must fly. Probably give the barge a run for its money off the line...

I really don't want to deal with the auction thing but no one has stepped up yet, so probably. The new headliner is still sitting here in the house. Old no.9 has been giving me a hard time, but it's finally on the road.

The pickup has about 200 horse at 22psi and has a 5 speed with a LSD.

I don't think so. I am looking for a quick sale. A friend of mine sold me his car after all the hard work was complete. The car is away for body/paint right now. It should be ready for sale in a month's time. 2000 740i SWB with S62. Mechanically excellent. Titanium Silver over black interior. In the coming days it will also have a new headliner installed in black, new headlights and taillights, halos, and a few smaller things I want to tackle. It is already in great condition, but I am honestly having a hard time pricing the car. I have a lot into it and whoever buys it will be extremely happy with it. Not going to stick a 40k price tag on it, but I believe the car deserves around 25-30k

Sounds like a pretty awesome car. Pricing will be tough if you want to sell it quick. I dunno what your definition of a quick sale is, 10-15k and it'd be gone in a few weeks, maybe days. It does sounds like a 25-30k car though, but that might take months or more, unless you already know how to reach buyers. Start a thread for it and post up some pics or something. I'm not a buyer, but I'd love to see more pictures and details of it.

Thanks man, wish I could keep it! Too many cars. The car hasnt been painted yet so I was thinking of posting the car now with the new buyer having the choice of color. Dont think that will interest many though. Stock color will likely help retain the car's value.

Definitely following this, the E38 wears Estoril so well, and I also just picked up this week an '01 shorty msport April 01 build , Alpine on gray. Guides done , 180k on the clock from first owner. Following this because I'd like to S62 it as well
