    740i 6spd driveshaft

    Greetings,
I am nearing the end of my 6spd and engine swap and only waiting on a clutch line from the master cylinder. This brings me to my question of driveshaft length from what I found between having the two transmissions next to each other (sitting here wondering why I didn't measure the total length of both transmissions and subtract) it looked like I need to lengthen the driveshaft by 6 inches which now that I think about likely isn't right since I didn't account for the guibo on the manual tran. (Moving it over since its brand new) What is the consensus from the few 740i manual swaps out there? I am looking forward to finally having my E32 back again, it already has a list of things to fix now too lol.

With the driveshaft it looks like the PO thought ahead and had the u joint replaced with one that had a zerk fitting on it so lucky me.

Oh forgot to add, the E32 is very good at hiding things both engine mounts and the transmission mount were bad and I never felt any kind of vibration from the car even running it hard. Which explains why my fan shroud broke and how I lost a fan blade despite no issues with the fan clutch.

Further recommendation, if you plant to remove the engine from your E32 I highly recommend either dropping the sub frame with the engine or removing the entire front end. I didn't do either and the engine mutilated my condenser up front and bent the AC service port. Not fun.

When I had my drive shaft done they had me measure from the out put flange of the trans to the center support holes in the body. I used Carolina drive shaft they were awesome cheap and it took about 10 days
