    2007 3.0Si Z4

    Howdy and long time since here.

    I let the one-year-old battery run down in the Z4...... the model in title.

    Discovered today, I placed in on a Trickle Charger as I have no plans to drive it for a couple weeks.

    What can I expect?............... will this mess up the computer-controlled electronics by letting a battery run dead.?? I have heard a
    horror story about Porsche boxers with dead batteries.

    I discovered this when opening the driver's door - The dome light would not even come on. After 2 hours of trickle charging, the light
    is now on but I will not attempt to crank it until fully charged, unless someone advises what else should be done.

    You should be fine,
    depends on the level of discharge.
    Take a voltage reading with a multimeter at the battery posts-without charger connected.
    You can compare your readings with this chart:
