Leaking Sumitomo All Season 18 inch tires on 107 wheels.

I have a problem with the new tires on my Z4. Several times the tires have leaked down and I've added air. It's got to now I carry a 12 volt compressor with me. Is there any thing I can do to alleviate this prpblem? It looks like the bead of the tire is not sealing properly.

Take the car back to the tire shop and have then inspect the valve stems-tires and rims.

I have taken one back, had it broken down, remounted. It seems when I hit a bump , bead brakes loose.

If that's the case, you have bigger problems. The bead should never break loose going over bumps. What size wheels and tires are you running and and what tire pressure? Have you tried spraying soapy water to see where the leak comes from, to be sure it's from the bead area?

I'm running BMW 18 inch wheels, 107's. 18 by 8 0n the front and 18 by 8.5 on the rear. I bought the size tires recommended for the wheels. I had 2 wheels restored, one had a crack and it was welded and ground down. No problem out the restored wheels. Drivers side looked great without restoration and the both have leaked down. I did spray soap on one wheel, saw it was leaking at the bead. I had it remounted, couldn't find anything. I'm using the recommended air pressure. I ride a bit, tire light comes on and I break out my 12 volt air compressor.

Glory be, I have been dealing with this one leaking tire for some time. I took the wheel off the car and spent and hour spraying both sides of the rim with soapy water, looking for a bead leak, nothing. I was about to give up when I decided to look at the tread one more time. Lo and behold, I saw a very tiny soap bubble. That is my small leak, 10 pounds every 2 weeks. I'll have it in the tire shop tomorrow. I've have this tire broken down in the past and they couldn't find a thing. What a relief. I'll still carry my compressor for a bit more.
