Looks like one of my engine mounts has collapsed (driver side)!
The passenger side looks a little better
Has anyone on this forum replaced theirs?
The service manual says to support the motor and drop the sub-frame. I'd like to jack up the motor. There's good access to the driver side since I have the alternator bracket removed (to service oil seal). Like to hear from anyone that has done this successfully?
Thanks!

When I replaced mine on my E65, I did it the same way I have done it on all of my BMW's - remove the bolts, jack up the engine on that side about 1-1/2 inches (make sure nothing will hit the fresh air intake cowl, remove the connection to between airfilters and MAF), remove the old one, put in the new one and reassemble.
