When the Tonneau cover opens, the left side opens more than the right and hits the top on the left, causing it to stall and close the top. Is this an adjustment issue?
If the tonneau is getting caught on the top when putting down the top, your tensioning straps in the top are wearing out. You cannot replace these without removing the top. What almost everyone does is when lowering the top is to reach back and pull the second to rear bow in the top forward. This will pull all the fabric forward and the tonneau will open.
If the top hits the tonneau with the rear bow, you need new tonneau struts. They are about $40 on Amazon. Have fun installing them!!!!!. I literally have my son close me in the trunk to be able to pop them on. (I only do this as I hate trying to align the trunk lid if you take it off + the wiring is still connected so you have to keep it close. It also helps to remove the small bumper on the lift arm where it would hit the body. You will see this from the tonneau side. Follow the arm down and you will see a small hexagon shaped bumper. It will pull off allowing an extra 1/4 of travel to help get the struts on.
