Hi!
Just got a nice 08 750i with low mileage I love it. Everything is working, except the cruise control. Searched high and low but couldn't find an answer.
So if someone could help me locate the problem it would be much appreciated.
Basically the problem is, I go up to the desired speed, push on the cruise control stick and nothing happen. I got no codes or visual cues in the dashboard. Fuse is OK
I could check and or replace the module but I have no clue where to find it and what I'm looking for.
BTW it's the regular cruise not the adaptive one. please!

When you say 'push on the stick' do you you mean push forward (which stores and maintains the current speed) or push the end of the stick (which resumes the stored speed) - only the former works! This for the E63 - but 750i has the same system:

I mean push forward. Or pull backward.
First step in any problem is a proper diagnosis which includes a scan of ALL the computers and modules in the vehicle. This is going to require BMW diagnostic software such as ISTA, or Autologic, etc.

I ordered a K+DCAN USB cable, I was going to use INPA for code reading, and NCS Expert to recode some "personal issue" I have with the car. See I did my homework! I was just hoping that someone else had a similar problem and hoped for a quick fix. Guess I will be waiting for the cable to get here.
Sometimes it is that easy, and sometimes not. Could be a bad switch, bad SZL, bad coil spring, etc. There's a few possible culprits.

I'm sorry! What is a SZL?
