So my 2011 535xi engine died as a result of a bad oil change back in March. The dealer quoted a replacement at $26k (rediculous) which I'm obviously not going to do. I'm sure I could find a used one and have it installed for cheaper, however I have another car and don't have the time to deal with it. Does anyone have any other avenues to reccomend, I'm considering donating it or maybe Craigs list.
As a quick aside, the oil change place has no liability this long after an oil change, so that avenue is out.
Thanks in advance!

How was the oil change bad? I thought you just drain oil, plug it back, refill with new oil, and replace filter. What went wrong?

Yes, a little more details would be helpful.
Replacement engine on that vehicle, with a used motor would be dramatically less than 26k.
Jiffylube took the filter housing apart on the top of the engine then didn't replace the top correctly, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate for 4 months. Finally ground to a hault on the highway in July. My bad for using this place in the first place...

I imagine it would be closer to half that, but I don't have the time to go down that long road to replacement.
Are you trying to part out the car or sell it as a whole?

Put it on Autotrader, craigslist, etc. It's still worth money to someone.
