Hey guys, if you look at my post history my last thread was a really rich borderline no start that a new maf solved. fast forward to now cars running perfect. running a wastegate springed 96 m3 s52 at 16psi. technica kit.
however trying to pass inspection, im getting three codes.
Code Error Frequency Logistic Counter RPM Of Occurrence Description
227 6 40 2944 Mixture Deviation Bank 1
250 6 40 928 Tank Venting Valve - Function
21 5 37 5408 VANOS -Electrical Fault
code 227 takes a couple days of driving to get to pending status, the 250 and 21 codes are new as of yesterday. no ill symptoms as to how it runs. afrs are 14-15 cruise- mid 11's wot. idle is same as cruise.
smoke and pressure tested everything not seeing any leaks. using a m50 manifold with epoxied fittings and turkey neck. tried tweaking the fittings under smoke but nothing leaks. sensors like o2 and stuff are new.
any help is appreciated
I was dealing with the same thing as you probably remember, I had those codes, less the vanos code. The tank valve code I had was because my vent wasn't connected to my manifold, so that was an easy fix, but I can't remember off hand if that was the same exact code you currently have.
the mixture deviation was eventually sorted with tune revisions. Sorry I'm not much help other than saying that the 227 should be something that can be tuned out. I currently haven't had any codes come back, but I'm failing emissions for HC and CO (trying to put a better cat in right now)
Are you able to log afr's? If so, what are you using to do that?
