I'm new to the forum and BMW's in general. I recently bought a 1988 325ix. I understand that you can't lower the ix model very much, but I was wondering if that only applies to driving the car while it's lowered.
You see, I enjoy the lowered look, but I also enjoy driving AWD and not being inhibited by ride height. So I was thinking of doing airbag suspension so I could drive with it raised up and only lower it when i park it. I don't plan on taking it to a track so handling wouldn't be an issue.
I just wanted to know if anyone who knows this car better than me could tell me if that will work or not. And if that would work, does anyone know where to find airbag suspension parts that fit the ix.
I apologize if this is a dumb question, and I appreciate any information you guys can give me. Thank you!
