A guy asked me to do a quick walk around video. I also videoed a 2-3 gear pull, 20-80 and a 3-5 gear pull from 60-110. No animals were endangered during the filming.

Yes, someone responded. So I have had 5 e36's and done alot of door cards. The inserts are glued and over time separate then come apart completely along with the pocket. So, I came up with this method to stop that issue permanently. The door pocket is also secured in the same way. I would guess that everyone who still owns an e36 knows what I am talking about.
As to the glove box, every time I replaced an e36 glove box, they start sagging soon thereafter or don't match correctly at the lock etc., not the best bmw part, right up there with the plastic expansion tank parts. The main problem is when the glove box pops open in the middle of an autox or track run and dumps stuff all over me when I am at the apex of a right hand turn - kind of distracting. So rather than gluing that shut, I used two black screws that fasten it shut through the gaps, practical and not that offensive. I mean, it wan't the prettiest dash when it was new. The e36 M3 is the best platform for whatever you want to do. It is simple, raw and direct like the e30 but way more reliable as long as you get the basic stuff done and can wrench a little.
