    Turbo 2003 z4 build

This is my first European car ever, i come from an oldschool muscle car background so this is something new to me. Ive always had a desire to add more power and cant sit still. Anyways, here is what ive been researching and any help or adjustment is awesome.

Im using this kit as a basis for the turbo manifold and the piping.

the turbo is immediately going to be tossed and a nice size garret thrown on. Did i get the engine correct? our cars have the m52 i think...

next will be meth injection with head bolts and ill leave it at that. Ill have my tuner do a low boost setting such as 6 psi for around a 60hp gain to putt around town with and a 16 psi tune for straight line racing and possible autocross. (dont really like alot of boost kicking in when im canyon carving or autocrossing). This is where the head bolts and meth injection shine so i dont blow out the heads and cause pre-detonation.

Thoughts? Not sure how you guys feel about stupid builds here but i think it might be fun to build a little rocket.
    nice meeting everyone!

Your engine is an M54, either 2.5L or 3.0L.

Probably. The eBay kits typically don’t even fit the car or motor they are designed for very well. The Z4 may have less room. We don’t see many turbo Z4 or turbo M54 so the path you are on is not as easy. The aluminum block M54 may not be as durable with boost. Just an overheat can pull the bolts right out of the block.

For what it's worth, I've used the same cxracing top mount t3 manifold on my e36, my M50 swapped w123 Mercedes, and it's now on my Z3. I've had to weld up cracks several times but as far as fitment goes it's luckily fit everything I've attempted to use it on. It's hard to say for sure if it will fit a z4 without trying it though

The kit may or may not fit
The issue is the ECU tuning.

I’d like a high powered turbo Z4M coupe please. Make it an ‘06 or ‘07 in silver or maybe charcoal. Yum!

yeah, there is no way to crack this open without swapping the ecu to the ms43. Holy crap that was a whole lot of researching for a whole lot of nothing.

There are things in the works for "cracking" the ECU or going stand alone.
    Exciting times ahead methinks

    you'd better convert to ms43.
