Was on Craigslist on day, spied the car and was floored by the low mileage. Made contact with owner, test drove it once but didn't get back to him.
Last Friday night, I received a text saying that the owner would take half of the price listed on CL. Deal !
Odd ownership story - the current owner's wife bought it from a friend of hers as a gift to him. It came with a thick maintenance binder and intelligent upgrades. For some reason, he didn't want it. And after a few weeks of trying to sell it on Craigslist, they both wanted it gone ASAP. I don't think realized the cult status of this car.
Interior is nearly perfect - only the driver's seat has wear. There are not any dash cracks.
I don't like the wheels/tires on it so that will be the first item I will address.
I pick it up this Friday - can't wait. I had an E30 318is back in the mid 90's but had to sell it to help finance my wedding.

badass!! sounds like its going to a great home
No e30s again.
I'm excited and nervous at the same time. This car didn't cost me very much money and I'm confident I won't have to put too much into it in the short term. Just want to get out and enjoy it this fall. The only issue is the paint - Silver - not horrible but a repaint would be desirable.

They really did a nice job cleaning it up for the pictures on the listing.
