2013 328 Brake bulb warning light coming on with tap of brake after LED replacement

Replaced burned out stock bulbs with Phillips 12839REDDB2 LED bulbs and now each time I press the brake pedal I get a warning. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it was, is it due to voltage? Am I stuck using an incandescent bulb even though the LED's work, minus the annoying warning with each brake tap!

yup, different resistance between the LED and the incandescent so the system which checks for an issue isn't aware of the swap. well known issue, and pretty common. sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. put quality stock bulbs back in and everything will be fine.

i've just run the longlife sylvania's with the silver base and never had any trouble. when installing the new bulb make sure to use a napkin or something so you don't get the oils from your skin on the new bulb.
you can take the old bulb with you and make sure you get the right size/tab orientation, etc....
