What happens to car behaviour when lowering coilovers and wider wheels (just the usual not extreme)?
Increased performance handling and cornering,
due to a lower center of gravity, among other things.
At the correct settings of course.
More grip, generally better handling if properly aligned/balanced.
If lowered too much however you will compromise suspension travel and roll center, among other things. Typically moderate lowering springs shouldn't get near that though; that's typically more for cars that have been slammed/stanced for aesthetics at the cost of handling. Track/race cars also have to sometimes make modifications to mitigate these issues if running at very low ride heights.
