I just got my roadster back on the road after a year of working on it (various projects) and I have an issue I don't think I had before. There is a 2 amp fuse behind the radio that keeps popping when I start the car. What does it protect? And what keeps making it pop? Did I forget to connect a ground? Thanks in advance.

Its for the heater control valve. Most likely a pinched wire that is shorting to earth somewhere. There is a micro switch that turns the water valve off when the heater temp dial is on fully cold. See is that makes a difference.

There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.
Thanks! I will start digging through the wiring and see if I can find where it is pinched. Not looking forward to that job!
