Windshield Wiper Hose Clamp?

I am able to install the pump but notice a ziptie right were it connects to the pump.

It appears that the original design uses a clamp.

Has the new pump been design such that the clamp is not necessary?

The new design above looks as if its not necessary.

Dealer is saying there is no clamp.

Similar thread runs into the same issue.

I order the pump from ECS tuning, so if its like the above, the clamp shouldnt be necessary.

Both of mine had a crimp style clamp on it, the fit was pretty firm and would likely stay on without it. On something as non-critical as a windshield washer line a zip tie or reusing the original clamp (re-clamp with a PEX crimper or just needle-nose pliers). If the hose fits very snugly you probable don't need anything. Give it a shot and see, it isn't going to be catastrophic if it pops off.
