    6 speed swap (driveshaft issues)

I am currently swapping an e46 m3 transmission into my e36 m3. I read that the automatic e36 m3 driveshaft would work. I went to install the driveshaft and it's short by a couple inches. Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

    It's too short.

You may be able to make it work by pulling it apart but spline engagement becomes pretty limited. Just do the right thing and send it out for new u-joints, lengthening.
