Hell if M3’s are fetching $20k you can have mine, I parked it a month ago and could use the room. You can take the blower kit too.

I went and read your story on m3forum too - I don't even know what to say. That is so sad. I also found this from last month: https://globalnews.ca/news/4432362/k...fied-vehicles/
It certainly sounds like a witch hunt - and exactly as you described. A mechanic can pronounce the car safe, and officer Doofenshmirtz can pull you over again as you leave the shop.
I also find it ironic that your LTW front and rear aero bits aren't what's being cited, but things they can't even see.
Don't you guys have a prosecutor or something there you can talk to? Or go to traffic court? One victory and the judge could order the cops to stop picking on people and focus on the really dangerous ones (or better yet, go work on fighting some real crime instead of make-work). My dad was a prosecutor for years and there were many times he'd go down to the police department and tell them to stop issuing certain kinds of citations that they were just making up.
I hate to see you get ramrodded like this.

Yeah that sucks. I don't think that would ever fly in most of the US for similar reasons as to why we have so many guns, but I wouldn't complain if they went and got some of the legitimately dangerous cars off the road. Like the gigantic lifted coal rolling trucks and cars that have been stanced so much they have no suspension travel and can't navigate a parking lot. Using that as an excuse to get rid of ANY modified car is ridiculous. If your car can pass whatever legitimate emissions/safety inspection it has to pass, you should be allowed to drive it on the road. If they want to ban you, they should have to be able to prove that your modifications are unsafe or unlawful (like in the case of a very loud exhaust).

I think there are still great deals for E36s out there. You just have to look where the sellers aren’t enthusiasts.
1993E36M3, Seems like you did pretty well to me.
(I’ll try not to reply twice, damn Tapatalk app doesn’t like my iPhone’s connection today)
