On the E32 forum we have a member with an 1991 E32 750 which has the car at a repair shop since 8 months and the shop does not get the M70 engine running, details here https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...-shop-8-months!
Car is located in Mesquite, TX near Dallas. In case you know a shop there which knows the M70, please post the contact details in that thread on the E32 forum, thanks

another one of those threads where the owner attempts to translate between the actual guy fixing the car and the knowledge base here. Those situations rarely work well.

From what he has written there though, it does seem the tech is relying solely on old school guessing rather than any help from DIS

I understand me trying to get information from Mechanic and feed onto this online forum is less than ideal especially with my limited knowledge base. I encouraged mechanic to join himself personally to respond to you all, but that was a failed attempt. Ive also had a hard time getting info back from him and getting questions answered. Again all less than ideal . But I am very thankful for this forum and the immense knowledge base that can be tapped into and try my best to provide the info needed to be able to get help/answers needed. This forum has helped me immensely over the years just by reading old threads and all the DIY. This was the first time ive had an issue with the car that required me to post and start a thread for it. Thank you for the help

TxGR8White just posted this on the E32 forum:
Update: Car now runs on all 12 cylinders.
Stopped by this evening to take a look and found the CPS and Cylinder ID sensors connected to the wrong plugs. Corrected that, and she fired right up.

    Thanks a lot helping out
