Question Door Projectors - Yay or Nay?

Just purchased a 2015 528i (F10) CPO and was chatting with my nephew re: his bimmer mods. He swears by his BMW door projectors and says they're great. I'm inclined to say that my wife will think they're cheesy/hideous...I'm open to modding the car, but don't wanna come off as the old man that's trying too hard (and by "old", I'm talking 30s). Thoughts?

If you have to ask, you already know the answer.

I would just power up my interior lighting so as to spill more light on the ground, rather than yet ANOTHER badge/logo.

I'm a senior citizen and did a complete led interior light upgrade on my E63 M6. One of the upgrades was (of course) the under-the door projector lights. Mine read ALPINA. Always wanted one.

Did the small two pin power plug used for these change configuration in 2020? The small plastic projection on the plug (I suspect) is different in my 2020 330i from previous models as it does not fit the BMW LED Door Projector, which at least in Amazon is billed as fitting all models. I'm reluctant to cut the plastic to get it to fit since the 2 pin power plug would probably come loose without the small plastic locking projection. Does anyone know if these will fit 2020 models and if so does a particular vendor sell it?
