Looking to add another car z4 this time

I know this is the z3 forum, but I don't watch that forum. I have my z3 and it's not going anywhere. I am interested in this z4 for my son or myself to drive in the winter.
There is a 2005 z4 I am going to look at Friday after work. 88k 2.5 auto. Has new top and hydraulic pump. There wanting $6800. Is the new top and hydralics a red flag. I am assuming that there is no difference in the 2.5 from the sedan. Do these cars rust anywhere I should look for?

yes Tex, I know that this group is also into z4s as well. I am familiar with people on this sub forum because I use it for my z3.

I drove the car today and talked to the owner. the car is orginally from California. he is the second owner. He purchased a 2011 335 Z4. he had had the top slashed on the 2005 twice in 4 years. ( he is a Lawyer) He has not done the cooling system refresh. valve cover is starting to leak. it started and run nice.
    He will take $6500.
Is this a good Deal? remember new top and it has Michelin run flats 6 months old.

I am sitting on the fence a little since I would have to do the cooling system.

    thanks

I look at Z4s for sale quite often and that price is on par with 2.5 models with similar mileage that have been listed for sale for months and are not selling. If I liked the colors and the car was what I wanted, I'd offer $5k and pay no more than $5500. I wouldn't want run flats and a top is a top, new or old. At $6500 I'd hold out for an older 3.0 with similar mileage.

New top, I don't want run flats really but he said it didn't have a spare. I thought it was an option.

I got rid of the new run flats on my 2008 Z4 as soon as I could which made a night/day difference in tramlining.

My z3 is more nimble than the z4, so ya better. I looked in the trunk and it looks like a spare would fit. I would to put a parent of blizzarks I have on the back for winter.
I took my wife to see the car and we looked around the car more noticed the window trim was crap. It will need replaced. Thanks another $200. If this guy won't come down the amount I may pass. I will say this I think the material quality of my z3 is better z4. I have to remember what this car is for. A winter driver to save my son's Supra.
