I am looking at building a stroker m20b28 using a m52b28 crank. I currently have the crank and a 2.7 block and from the research I have done most people use the m20b25 conrods and pistons. However this is where things differ, every post I have seen implements a 885 "I" head and I am using a 731 "euro" head. With my head/block/crank combo does anyone know what the best piston and conrod option would be?
81 vs. 84mm stroke. Not sure if you could mill 1.5 mill from the stock ETA piston or what the compression ratio would be. You should be safe milling the short skirt i piston into a flat top.
After some more hunting I discovered that m54b30 pistons are the correct bore size and are flat top, but I have not been able to confirm with my own eyes.
Any more details on this? Interested in 2.7 configurations
I found some m54b30 pistons and rods locally for cheap. I am going to scoop them up this weekend. Once I get the rotating assembly installed i'll post an update and let you know whether the combo will work or not.
