Overheat and limp home mode ...need info on coolant sensor location

2013 535i x drive .....Overheat warning came on. Went from yellow to red and the car wouldn't go over 20mph. I pulled over, turned off the engine. Waited a couple minutes and it ran fine with no warning for 30 more miles. There was not enough time for things to have cooled down form a real "boil over" Pulled the water pump and thermostat and am awaiting Fed Ex to arrive with my new parts. Can anyone tell me where the "Coolant Temp Sensor" is located.? ...with a picture or diagram. The H20 pump I understand is a weak link. It is audible when driving the past few days. Goes from quiet to full speed arbitrarily. I wish my hands were smaller...there is little room to get the hose clamps off.

I think it's at the bottom of the coolant overflow tank where you fill it.

Replaced both the electric pump and the thermostat along with new clamps and attachment bolts. A little cramped for big hands, but only took a couple hours. Lubing the hose ends with silicone grease makes reattachment much easier.
