Front Crank Seal Puller Not Working - Any Tips?

So the belt shredded on our e90 2007 328i, so I need to pull the front crank seal out because it was pretty much destroyed by the belt going behind the pulley...

So much so that the screws that go through the seal puller to grip the seal are totally just slipping right over the seal and not getting any bite on what remains of the seal to pull the damaged seal out.

Any suggestions on another method to get the old seal out?

Picture of what i mean is attached.

    Thanks

I've never used one before but would something like this work just to pry it out?

Have you pulled the oil pan and/or valve cover yet?
    Are you gonna eat that?

The crank seal tool I believe is like a threaded thing you insert to grab the seal be prepared to pull the oil pan there's probably bits of belt in there also.

You've probably got a lot more damage than just replacing the seal.

And you should probably use the BMW special tool. It works.
