    BMW X5 4.6is - Noise

    Hi I'm driving BMW X5 4.6is 2003 model. it has some serious noise from the engine. I experience the noise as soon as I start it and through out. I was advised to change the tensioner. Any idea of what might be the problem?

    If it's 'serious' noise. I wouldn't drive it until it is diagnosed further. Hopefully not the notorious timing chain guide failure
