EOI on 3D printed FTP and aux water pump covers

Any interest in these? I had these modelled because I am missing FTP covers on my car, and the fitment is perfect.

Price to be determined once I find a suitable supplier and material.

Edit: V5 prototype print here, using spare material. Final will be in black.

There may be a market for 3D-printed A and C pillar covers that can be covered with upholstery fabric.

I'm sure there'd be a market for it, but it would not be cheap! Not many places can print to that size. It'd have to be a commercial/industrial job.

Why do all 3D printed parts have that texture. Is there a way to smooth that out? Just sand it I imagine?

It's the printing process. Depending on the filament used, yes it's possible to smooth it out.

Not at this stage. I'll be selling the covers and shipping worldwide.

Tangcla, I ordered a new pair of FTPs, and wondered if you have completed prototyping your 3D printed FTP covers?
I'm definitely interested in a pair if you have.

    Thanks

    Close.
I got the tabs strengthened and they were too strong, and caused the FTP housing to crack, so I am looking for other options to make it work.

Those look pretty good to me. It’s exciting what can be done with 3D printing. A rubber seal strip in the groove and should be good to go.

    Definitely interested

Yes, the gasket situation is sorted.
Just need to figure out how to give some flex to the tabs...

Of course! I only printed it ieingbthis awful beige colour because I had a roll of it handy.
But it's like wearing sexy underwear... Only you know what colour it is
