I've attached a picture, it's the wire that is attached to the OEM head unit right next to (and taped together with) the antenna wire. Is this some sort of ground that I ought to do something with? On my other E36 with an already installed aftermarket head unit, that extra wire is just floating and not attached to anything. Maybe it should be?
In general, what has everyone done to be sure the head unit is properly grounded? There's a ground in the wiring harness, but I fear that goes back to the factory amp which is going to be bypassed, and possibly completely removed. Should I just ground the head unit somewhere behind the dash? Anyone have a suggestion on that?
In the picture, it's the thinner wire with the stainless looking plug on the end of it.
Thanks!

They are both RF antenna cables! One is for FM and the other is for AM. You need to buy an adapter cable that combines the 2 RF signals into a single connection.
Thank you!
