    Should I buy a 2013 750Li xDrive?

Hi guys (and gals)! I've been driving a 2000 750iL e38 12-cylinder as my daily driver for 11 years. Lucky me! However, now that my baby has 212,000 miles on it and is almost old enough to buy beer, I can see I'm going to need a new ride.

I have been checking out the F1/F2 and am specifically looking at a 2013 750Li xDrive with about 80,000 miles, which I would plan to purchase with a four-year bumper-to-bumper exclusionary extended warranty.

Any advice on whether I should buy this or not? Any advice on what to look for, test, etc. before buying? This isn't my first rodeo, so I know to look for cars with a good maintenance history, no accidents, no repossessions, etc., but I'm not familiar with the specifics to look for or avoid in the newer 7-series.

Also, as an aside, WHERE IS EVERYBODY? I've been absent from the forums for a bit, and when I was active lived on the e38 pages, naturally, which have over 60 pages of posts. Now I know the F01/F02 is a lot newer, but the series has been out for 9 years, after all, and I only see 2 pages of posts. Is the F01/F02 really that much less of an enthusiasts car than the e38? Is there no equivalent to e38.org for this model?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, Not new to BMW but new to Forum, thanks to Kevin to clearing my technical issue. I just purchased my 750 xDrive. A 2011 with 69K miles. I dont have warranty, kind of worried. Car is beautiful and drives like a dream. Lot of bad mouthing on 7 series, I dont know why. My engine is very loud. I called BMW and they said injectors make this noise. i dont like it, but i will live with it till they have to be changed. Few things i read about them, to look for: Valve seals leaks some time, Turbo seals and injectors replacement is very expensive. Good Luck, hope you get a real good deal.

Thanks! Me too. I'm looking at two models right now, a Blue on White 2013 BMW 750Li xDrive with just under 80,000 miles and a blue on grey 2013 Audi A8 L with about 96,000 miles. I have driven a 750Lix, but a 2016 as the dealer didn't have anything older, but hope to drive the Audi for the first time this weekend. I test drove a 2007 Audi S8 that was pretty amazing but I'm not ready to trade a 19 year old car for an 11 year old car. Looking to get something newer, but the newer S8's are out of my price range. It is interesting that the Audi's seem to hold there value better than the BMWs.
