Hi all, looking to do a sub-frame / suspension bushing replacement (front and rear) on an e36 for street use. Anybody have recommendations on a brand of bushing that they have had luck with?
I like the idea of something high performance but most importantly something that will keep the sub-frame in good shape.
I'd like to pay a bit extra and have them last if that is possible.
Lemforder OEM. Any sort of poly is going to introduce more NVH, so it's best to stick with OEM in any street-only car. If you replace all the old bushings and ball joints with new OEM rubber, the car will feel nice and tight and will be set for another 10+ years on the street.
If you really want to go poly, the places you can do it with the least impact to NVH are probably the rear subframe/diff. You'll get some degree of diff whine and vibration going poly on both, but you may be able to avoid it if you leave rubber on one or the other. Do not use poly RTAB's, and I strongly discourage poly motor/trans mounts on street cars.

I agree with TostitoBandito, if it is street only I would use OEM type bushings. If the bushings are original anything at this point will be an upgrade!
Here is a front and rear overhaul- https://www.turnermotorsport.com/f/C...esrep=skothman

Things to consider. Thank you, gents!
OE bushings. The only mount I would consider making poly would be rear subframe mounts, but for a 100% street car? I would still go OE.
The original bushings have a lifespan of around 100k miles (depending on environmental conditions too), so new OE mounts should give you around 10 years of use.
