    Latest year Wagon + Manual?

Apologies for the noob post, I'm coming from the Saab world and with the obvious downstream dead-end, I'm planning my next daily. My minimum requirements include: Sport-wagon, Manual Transmission, Leather, Sunroof, Not a Subaru. I have a preference for all-wheel-drive, but I will compromise on that if needed.

That's it. Seems easy, right? Well I'm either back into an older Saab, or a slightly more recent BMW and Audi. I'm leaning strongly into the BMW camp.

So my question is: What models of E90 are available with Wagon + M/T + xi? What's the latest year this was available? There seems to be some conflicting information out there.

AFAIK, all model years of the E91 wagon were available with MT. They are extremely rare; fewer than 3,000 wagons were sold per year, but only 1/3 or perhaps less were sold with MT.

The ZF 8HP auto is not bad at all, but I'd love my wagon to be manual. I will have to take that task and make it manual myself, one day.

My 2010 328xi Sports Wagon with staggered wheel size was a beauty.

While it was A/T, the paddle shifting was amazing.

I had a Saab 9-5 with paddle shifting. While it was a good transmission in it's day, it did NOT compare to the shifting of the BMW. (just stating in case you have driven the Saab w/ A/T and paddles and felt it lacked)

I'm personally not a fan of paddle shifting, but I can understand the appeal.

It sounds like I'm going to be hunting for a unicorn.

How quick does the transmission shift one you engage one of the paddles?
