I was wondering if there anyone could give me more specifics on what the "sport program" mode does. I assume it just tweaks the transmission shift points and hold onto gears a little longer?
It may also make the throttle more responsive.
I don’t believe so, for M62. M5 is a different beast and the real Sport button goes to the DME and activates different throttle maps...

Wait you mean there is no "Sport button" on the 525?!?!
Where is the BMW complaint number as we need all the power possible.

Sport Mode
- Sport Mode provides raised shift points and a more aggressive shiftprogram for the “Enthusiastic” BMW driver. The cluster will display an“S”when insport mode.
On the 525 when you install the "Sport" button, the driver gets to turn on the power.....seat warmers.
