    97 1.9L Z3 Seat belt buckle switch

    Hi,
I’m unable to reset the airbag sensor? using the Peake R5/SRS2 tool. The code tables are Table 02, Code 10 Seat belt buckle switch, driver. Any thoughts on how to repair or reset the light.
    Thank you

I simply unplugged it and re-plugged it, shoving it in as hard as I could. I was lucky, that worked. Some say clean it with electric contact type cleaner. ..... If the Peake won't reset, you need a different tool. I downloaded the INPA, ( http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...xperimentation ) , but others found a tool for around $20 (much easier), sorry I don't have the source handy.

Have you checked the wiring under the seat? If you're sure it's definitely the buckle, just buy a replacement unit from ebay and bolt it in.

Maybe not the same thing, but my driver side buckle/receptacle stopped holding/latching the belt, so I replaced it. The airbag system did not care if I drove unbelted -- no warnings.
